Dr. Bruce Shapiro is the vice president of training, the associate director of the Maternal and Child Health Training Program, "Leadership Education Excellence in Caring for Children with Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities" (LEND) and director of the Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins University Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Residency Program.

He is a professor of pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Arnold J. Capute, MD, MPH, Chair in neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Dr. Michael Johnston is a research scientist, senior vice president and chief medical officer at Kennedy Krieger Institute.

Dr. Harolyn M. E. Belcher is a neurodevelopmental pediatrician and research scientist at Kennedy Krieger Institute. She is currently the director of the Center for Diversity in Public Health Leadership Training.

Dr. Belcher is jointly appointed in the Department of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Department of Mental Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, holding the rank of full professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Dr. S. Ali Fatemi is a pediatric neurologist and the director of the Division of Neurogenetics and the Moser Center for Leukodystrophies, and an investigator at the Hugo W. Moser Research Institute at Kennedy Krieger Institute.

He is an associate professor of neurology and pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Hilary E. Gwynn is an instructor on the medical staff at Kennedy Krieger Institute in the Division of Neurology and Developmental Medicine. A former trainee of the NDD fellowship, Dr. Gwynn teaches medical trainees and provides patient care at the Center for Development and Learning and on the Pediatric Rehabilitation Unit.

She is also the site coordinator for the Johns Hopkins pediatric resident developmental disabilities rotation at the Kennedy Krieger Institute

Dr. Alec Hoon is a research scientist, director of the Phelps Center for Cerebral Palsy and Neurodevelopmental Medicine and medical director of the Carter Center for Holoprosencephaly and Related Disorders at Kennedy Krieger Institute.

He is an associate professor of pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Dr. Mary L. O’Connor Leppert, M.B., B.Ch., is a member of the medical staff in the department of Neurodevelopmental Medicine. Dr. Leppert is co-director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Follow-Up Clinic, and assistant director of the Center for Development and Learning.

She is a consultant physician at St. Agnes Hospital, and an assistant professor of pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Dr. Paul Lipkin is the Director of Medical Informatics and the Interactive Autism Network at Kennedy Krieger Institute. He also provides clinical services in the Center for Development and Learning at the Institute.

Lee E. Wachtel, MD, is the medical director and an attending child psychiatrist of the Neurobehavioral Unit at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. She also directs consultation-liaison psychiatry services for the Rehabilitative Unit.
