What is this study about?
This study addresses this gap by exploring ecological momentary assessment (EMA) as a tool to measure anxiety and IU in autistic teens in their daily lives. EMA captures emotions and behaviors in real time, multiple times a day, using a smart phone application, thereby providing greater ecological validity than traditional questionnaires.
What do I have to do?
Parents will complete a 1-hour interview by phone to gather developmental information about their child and complete questionnaires about their child.
Adolescents complete:
- One 4-hour, in-person visit to Kennedy Krieger
- 14 days of daily surveys through our smartphone app
- One 30-min virtual visit
You may be eligible if:
- You are 13-17 years old
- You own a smartphone
Will I be compensated?
- Up to $150 in gift cards for teens and $50 in gift cards for parents for completing the entire study
