We're committed to sharing our knowledge throughout our communities, across the country, and around the world. By increasing awareness and breaking down societal barriers, we believe that all people with developmental disabilities can achieve their potential. And by offering a wide range of community-oriented programs, projects, and services, Kennedy Krieger can play an important and long-term role in their success.
Kennedy Krieger's community programs are family focused and maximize the potential of each child within their own home and community environments. Through these programs, Kennedy Krieger adapts services to the unique needs of children with disabilities and their families to help them adjust to the routines of everyday living in their home, schools and community settings. Providing direct treatment and acting as advocates for the children and families they serve, the interdisciplinary professionals at Kennedy Krieger help children achieve their potential and to access and benefit from community resources.
The cornerstone of these efforts is the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities (MCDD) at Kennedy Krieger Institute. Through the Center's focus on professional training, community service, research, and information dissemination, we are working with our community partners to create opportunities and sustain change.
