On Friday, November 20, staff members of the MCDD participated in the Neurodevelopmental Collaborative Journal Club hosted by Kennedy Krieger’s Neuropsychology department.

MCDD Hosts Project SEARCH Intern

The MCDD recently hosted its second intern from Project SEARCH at Kennedy Krieger Institute. While the coronavirus pandemic brings challenges to the workplace, Project SEARCH programs are now held online, and so are many of its internship sites.

MCDD Sponsors Webinar on Interdisciplinary Approaches to Address Sexual Health Education

On November 9, the MCDD sponsored a webinar, “Interdisciplinary Approaches to Address Sexual Health Education Across Disabilities and the Lifespan.”

Project HEAL Collaborates With Center for Development and Learning

In November, Mallory Legg, Esq., of Project HEAL (Health, Education, Advocacy, and Law) began consulting with Kennedy Krieger’s Center for Development and Learning Medication Management Clinic to support the clinic’s efforts to provide comprehensive care to the patients and families it serves.

IDDRC Corner

The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC) at Kennedy Krieger is a subsidiary site for a RADx-UP (Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics: Underserved Populations) grant, which is a National Institutes of Health-funded initiative with the goals of understanding factors associated with disparities in COVID-19 morbidity and mortality, and laying the foundation to reduce disparities for underserved populations.
