Hastings received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development from the University of California, Davis in 2023. She began working as a Research Coordinator for the GLOW Study in the Brain, Behavior, and Development Lab in 2026. 

Before coming to Kennedy Krieger Institute Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation, Hastings worked at the UC Davis MIND Institute for 3 years as a Junior Specialist and Research Assistant on the LAAMB Study in the Miller Lab. Hastings is interested in studying autism across the lifespan and investigating the co-occurrence of autism and neurological conditions. In her free time, Hastings enjoys hiking and camping, journaling, and going to the movies.
