The Brain and Behavioral Development Lab combines cutting-edge neuroimaging, EEG, and wearable biosensor technology with advanced analytic techniques to examine the trajectories and predictors of different developmental and learning outcomes.

We aim to understand how behaviors and needs emerge and diverge across sensitive windows of development. A central focus of our work is spoken language and communication development, including how it unfolds for children growing up in bilingual households. Our long-term goal is to inform the development of scalable screening tools and outcome measures, as well as to elucidate optimal mechanistic targets and timing for early intervention.
