Childcare Programs at Kennedy Krieger

Pact’s World of Care Medical Childcare: This child care center is designed to meet the needs of young children who have medical conditions requiring daily nursing care and children with developmental disabilities. Learn and contribute to our team as we guide children & their families through the early years.

Child Care Teacher I: $1,500 hiring incentive

Location:

PACT World of Care- 7000 Tudsbury Road Baltimore, Maryland 21244

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. AA/BS in the field of education preferred
  • 90 Hour Child Care certificate, 45-hour Infant and Toddler certificate, or equivalent education required.

Experience:

  • One year child care experience required.
  • Experience with special needs population preferred.

Child Care Teacher II: $1,500 hiring incentive

Location:

PACT World of Care- 7000 Tudsbury Road Baltimore, Maryland 21244

Education:

  • AA degree (or the equivalent of 48 college credits), including at least 15 semester hours of coursework in the field of early education or childhood development required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • CDA is accepted if pursuing a degree.
  • 90-hour Child Care certificate and 45-hour Infant and Toddler certificate is required.
  • Must complete the annual clock hours required by the Office of Child Care to advance or maintain childcare credentials.

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of child care experience required.
  • Experience with Infants and Toddles is preferred. Experience with special needs population preferred.

PACT’s Southeast Early Head Start: This program offers specialized child care services for children under the age of three and their families.

Southeast Early Head Start Program is a delegate agency of the Maryland Family Network, and is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education’s Office of Child Care. 

Child Development Teacher: Hiring Incentive $1,500

Location: 

Southeast Early Head Start: 1101 Valley Street, Baltimore 21202

Qualifications:

  • Ninety hours Early Childhood Education Certificate required.
  • Forty-five hour Infant Toddler Certificate required.
  • Child Development Associate credential (CDA) is required by the conclusion of the first three months of employment.
  • Must be cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certified.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year supervised classroom experience working directly with children ages birth to three years old.
  • Daycare experience preferred.

Pre-K Program at Greenspring: This pre-K program is designed for 3- and 4-year-old children with typical development, as well as those with supsected developmental delay. The full-day program provides enriching comprehensive learning experiences for children through play and open exploration.

Instructional Assistant: $1,000 hiring incentive

Location:

Pre-K Program at Greenspring: 3901 Greenspring Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21211 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • College equivalent coursework in Education, Psychology, or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience providing child care in an approved setting preferred.
  • Experience as a paraprofessional in a classroom or with special needs population desirable.
