The Summer Works Program is a community outreach program to help youth gain a positive work-based learning experience. Kennedy Krieger is supportive, compassionate, and committed to taking an active part in helping its community’s youth become responsible, skilled, motivated, career-ready adults. Our goal is to hire high school or undergraduate college students seeking real life experience related to their career interests.

We are also proud to partner with several community programs supporting local students. Various departments at Kennedy Krieger sponsor these students and provide real-life experience in the healthcare sector.

The Summer Works Program will run from May to September.

Categories of Summer Works experiences include:

  • Traditional Summer Employment
    • Open to all students that meet criteria
  • Community Partnership
    • Community sponsored work-based learning (partner organization) - students coming through an existing community partnership. A few of our community partners include Youthworks, the Mayor’s Office, Building Steps, and many more!
