Information Meetings

Information meetings provide an understanding of the important and challenging role of treatment foster parents. Meetings are for individuals interested in learning more about becoming a foster, respite, or adoptive parent to children and teenagers who are developmentally delayed, medically fragile, and/or have emotional or behavioral difficulties. An information meeting is one of the required steps in becoming a foster care, adoption or respite parent. During the meeting, we will review the necessary qualifications, application process, and licensing requirements to become a foster or adoptive parent.  Interested parents may request the application paperwork at this meeting.

Information Meeting Dates

All Information Meetings are held at Kennedy Krieger Therapeutic Foster Care, 7000 Tudsbury Road, Baltimore, MD 21244. Free, secured parking is available in front of the building.

Your attendance, and that of all adults living in your home over the age of 21, is a required step in the process of becoming a foster parent. Please call MarLear Alston at (443) 923-3802 or email AlstonMa@KennedyKrieger.org to reserve your place at the meeting of your choice.

We are unable to accommodate children at the meetings, so please make babysitting arrangements.
