Behavioral Psychology services at Kennedy Krieger Institute give children, adolescents and their families the skills to overcome challenges, build resilience and achieve success.

About Us

The Behavioral Psychology Department at the Kennedy Krieger Institute is one of the nation’s leading programs.

Inpatient Programs

Our inpatient programs, the Neurobehavioral Unit and Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program, serve as models of treatment in a medical setting.

Outpatient Programs

Our outpatient programs provide a range of behavioral services for all children and adolescents who have behavioral difficulties.

Training Programs

The Department of Behavioral Psychology provides training in a one-year doctoral internship program in professional psychology (APA accredited) and post-doctoral fellowship program in pediatric psychology.

In cooperation with the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), we have developed a graduate program in Applied Behavior Analysis and serves as the site for student practicum and intervention courses.

We also provide supervised training for practicum and internship students for a number of colleges and universities in the Baltimore metropolitan area.
