Dr. Rachel Holder is a postdoctoral fellow in the Pediatric Psychology Consultation Program at Kennedy Krieger Institute. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Dr. Holder is excited to gain experience in several multidisciplinary services, including POTS Clinic and Rehabilitation Clinic, as well as the JHH Consult-Liaison Service. She provides therapy and consultation to youth presenting with a wide variety of concerns, including coping with chronic illness, physical symptom management and sleep concerns. Her research interests largely focus on the experiences of adolescents with chronic illness during the transition to adulthood, particularly related to empowerment, decision-making and identity development. She is passionate about empowering youth to engage with their healthcare and providing collaborative, patient-centered care.
