
Karen Dimentstein, PhD, MPH is the inaugural Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) Diabetes Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow at Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her research combines the fields of public health and pediatric psychology to understand, and ultimately improve, glycemic health, quality of life and psychosocial outcomes of youth with type 1 diabetes and their families. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and completed her predoctoral internship at Kennedy Krieger Institute in 2024 and her MPH from the University of Miami in 2019.
