
Dr. Elana Horowitz is a postdoctoral fellow in the Child and Family Therapy Clinic, Behavioral Psychology Department, at Kennedy Krieger Institute. She currently provides evidence-based assessment and intervention at the Columbia Behavioral Psychology outpatient site. Dr. Horowitz has experience utilizing therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics, Exposure and Response Prevention, Functional Family Therapy and Parent Management Training with children, adolescents, young adults, parents and families. Dr. Horowitz’s clinical experience encompasses the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma related disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, tic disorders, parent–child conflict and broader family systems concerns. Dr. Horowitz uses a trauma informed approach when working with children and families and provides culturally sensitive care to patients of all backgrounds.
