Brianna Young is a postdoctoral fellow in the Pediatric Developmental Disabilities Clinic at Kennedy Krieger Institute. She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Young’s clinical approach encompasses evidence-based behavioral assessment and parent training intervention with toddlers, children and adolescents with developmental disorders, genetic conditions and communication delays. She is particularly passionate about the promotion and advocacy of equitable care for historically underrepresented and marginalized populations within the context of developmental disabilities. Relatedly, her current research focuses on the application of community-based participatory design to improve health disparities and quality of life among children of color with developmental disabilities. When partnering with families, her priority is to foster family-centered growth that is in alignment with each family’s values.
