The fellow is evaluated twice per year using a competency-based form (see Appendix A) on which each supervisor rates level of competence achieved in the areas of General Professional Competence, Assessment Competence, Competence in Psychotherapeutic Interventions, and Scholarly and Research Competencies. These competency evaluations are discussed with fellows before signing.
Each area is rated on a scale from “Needs Remedial Work” to “Ready for Autonomous Practice.” If the fellow has a “Remedial” rating in an area, the supervisor and fellow produce written goals tailored to the situation. Successful completion of the fellowship requires a minimal rating of “Needs Occasional Supervision” across all rated areas of the evaluation at the end of the fellowship year in order to complete the program.
The fellow receives a copy of the Postdoctoral Fellowship Handbook, which documents all policies as well as Grievance, Due Process, Support and Accommodations Plan.
