BALTIMORE, Sept. 22, 2026 – For a third year in a row, Kennedy Krieger Institute has been recognized as a Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report. The recognition honors both Kennedy Krieger and Johns Hopkins Children’s Center for their joint program in Pediatric and Adolescent Behavioral Health. This year, Kennedy Krieger, also joins Johns Hopkins Children’s Center with recognition for their joint Pediatric Neurology and Neurosurgery services.

To create their list of outstanding pediatric hospitals, U.S. News collected and analyzed data from 114 children’s hospitals across the nation. Children’s hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level and quality of hospital resources directly related to patient care, and expert opinion among pediatric specialists.
U.S. News & World Report began ranking children’s hospitals 20 years ago. The goal was to assist parents and caregivers, along with their physicians, in navigating the challenges of choosing care for children with serious illnesses or complex medical needs.
