Dear Friend,

Each year, thousands of volunteers and donors make commitments to Kennedy Krieger Institute that are critical to our success. This gratitude report celebrates the caring community that surrounds the Institute and supports our vital work.

Throughout the report, you will read stories of corporations, individuals and families who have made Kennedy Krieger a priority for their philanthropy and their volunteer time. Many have personal connections to our programs and centers and know firsthand the impact of our care on our patients and students, and their families.

The theme of this year’s report—“Building Brighter Futures Together”—highlights the impact our corporate partners, donors and volunteers have on the children, teens and adults served at Kennedy Krieger. Last year, a record number of individuals—nearly 30,000 patients and students, and their families, from across the state and beyond—passed through our doors for inpatient and outpatient care and educational services tailored to their needs.

Our Gallery of Gratitude recaps the variety of events we host each year, bringing together our supporters, our patient and student families, and our incredible professional team to further the mission of Kennedy Krieger.

Here are two highlights from the past year:

  • Our Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) hosted sold-out events that not only supported invaluable programs like those of the Child Life and Recreation Therapies Department, but also introduced Kennedy Krieger to enthusiastic community members eager to support our work.
  • Our annual Kennedy Krieger Society reception recognized donors who make yearly gifts of $1,000 or more to Kennedy Krieger and honored six exceptional
individuals for their support for the Institute’s mission, as well as for their advocacy for the patients, students and families the Institute serves.

On behalf of the entire Kennedy Krieger organization, thank you for supporting the Institute and our life-saving work.

Gratefully,

Brad's signature.
