Phase Foundation Contributes $3,000 for High School and LEAP Programs

sportcycleThe Phase Foundation made a $3,000 grant to Kennedy Krieger in support of the Fit and Healthy Project, through which the Institute will promote healthy habits to students with disabilities at Kennedy Krieger’s High School Career and Technology Center and LEAP (Lifeskills and Education for students with Autism and other Pervasive behavioral challenges) Program.  With this grant, the Institute will acquire cardiovascular equipment and incorporate a health education component into the curriculum that will focus on health gains aligned with nutritional plans, workout routines, and knowledge of how to maintain a healthy weight.  Through the project, students will work to improve their physical fitness levels, self-confidence, academic achievement, and general wellness.
