The Mary and Daniel Loughran Foundation contributed $10,000 toward a recreational room for students with a variety of developmental, behavioral, and physical disabilities at the Kennedy Krieger High School Career and Technology Center. Thanks to this support, Kennedy Krieger will be able to renovate an existing space in the school to include exhilarating attractions; provide a respite from the rigors of the school day; serve as an incentive for students, who earn time in the room by exhibiting desirable behaviors and academic successes; and house various school clubs. In creating this exciting space designed specifically for students with disabilities, the Institute will promote social interaction in a stimulating environment and will allow students to recharge physically and emotionally before returning to academic classrooms.
