Motion Analysis Lab Member: Julia Choi, BSc

Julia Choi, BScJulia Choi received her undergraduate degree in physiology from McGill University in 2002. She is currently a doctoral student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She is interested in understanding how the brain controls the motor pattern for walking. Her current research focuses on characterizing the adaptation of gait kinematics that occurs in response to altering environment on a split-belt treadmill. She is also studying patients with different brain lesions to understand the role of different brain areas in locomotor adaptation. Her work is relevant to the development of rehabilitative treatments for patients with various gait disorders.
