This clinic evaluates, fits and delivers special needs car seats and safety harnesses when commercially available devices are not sufficient to meet the needs of patients.
Referrals should be made to the outpatient Occupational Therapy Seating Clinic. Please specify “special needs transportation.”
When appropriate, it is a best practice to identify a commercially available piece of equipment. If alternative options are needed, the patient and family must return to the clinic for a follow-up appointment to ensure proper fit.
The clinic accepts most major insurances, as well as Medical Assistance and Medicare. The clinic visit and the cost of the equipment are billed separately
