Dr. Claire-Elizabeth Agbu is a clinical psychologist in the Child and Family Therapy Clinic at Kennedy Krieger Institute. Dr. Agbu joined the clinical staff in 2022.

Education

Dr. Agbu received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Tulane University and a PsyD in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She also earned two master's degrees from The Chicago School, in clinical and forensic psychology. She completed her doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Kennedy Krieger Institute and The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the Child and Family Therapy Clinic. 

Dr. Agbu has been a licensed psychologist in Maryland since 2023. She also holds an authorization to practice interjurisdictional telepsychology through the PSYPACT Commission. Dr. Agbu works out of the Child and Family Therapy Clinic's Columbia location and also conducts therapy via telehealth.

Dr. Agbu’s expertise is in child, adolescent and family therapy. She has special interests in working with military and government affiliated families and treating executive functioning deficits, anxiety disorders, and youth athletes.
