President’s Letter

The theme of this year’s gratitude report is “Forging Our Future Together”—because with your help, we can pursue all that’s possible.

The inner circle is divided into quadrants: A green quadrant reads “Innovative Patient Care,” a red reads “Special Education and Community Services,” a blue reads “World-Class Research” and an orange reads “Access to Care and Services.” The outer circle is dark purple and has eight words or phrases written around it, each separated by a clockwise arrow. The words and phrases are: “Health,” “Equity,” “Inclusion,” “Diversity,” “Civility,” “Transition to Adulthood,” “Wellness” and “Advocacy."

New Year, New Strategic Plan

Fiscal year 2023 marked the first full year of implementing Kennedy Krieger’s new strategic plan, which prioritizes world-class research and accessible patient care, special education and community services.

Giving Back to Help Others

Raising funds for the development of a treatment benefiting people with Sturge-Weber syndrome around the world is the Nelson family’s mission.

Heart of Gold

A Commitment to Community

Truist has sponsored Kennedy Krieger’s Festival of Trees for many years, and its employees are regular volunteers at Institute events.

Each year, Kennedy Krieger hosts a variety of informational, fun and fundraising events. These events help us spread the word about the Institute’s work and expertise to the wider community, and are opportunities for networking, sponsor brand promotion and fun.
