Dr. Madeline Kaplan is a clinical psychologist in the Child and Family Therapy Clinic within the Department of Behavioral Psychology at Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Education
Dr. Kaplan received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Franklin and Marshall College, and her master and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from La Salle University. Dr. Kaplan completed her doctoral internship at Applewood Centers Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio and a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at Kennedy Krieger Institute and The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Kaplan has been a licensed psychologist in Maryland since December 2023. She is also a member of the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT).
Dr. Kaplan uses a range of therapeutic modalities including, Functional Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to treat children, adolescents and families with presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, inattention and family communication challenges. Dr. Kaplan utilizes an evidence-based approach in her clinical work and sees patients in-person and through telehealth.
