About
Dr. Justine Stryker is a postdoctoral fellow in Kennedy Krieger Institute's Center for Neuropsychological and Psychological Assessment. She specializes in pediatric psychological and developmental assessment, working with children, adolescents, and their families across a broad range of ages and presenting concerns, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disorders, and co-occurring mood and behavioral difficulties.
Education
Dr. Stryker's assessment training spans hospital, university, and school settings. She began her diagnostic training at Rhode Island Hospital/Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where she conducted psychodiagnostic evaluations as part of the Rhode Island Methods to Improve Diagnostic Assessment and Services (MIDAS) Project. During her doctoral training at Florida State University, she completed psychoeducational evaluations for K-12 students and FSU student athletes. She completed externships in pediatric neuropsychological assessment at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and in the at Children's National Hospital. Dr. Stryker completed her predoctoral internship at Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the Child and Family Therapy track.
Research
Dr. Stryker's graduate research examined social and emotional predictors of aggression, including her dissertation work on symbolic threats to masculinity and men's interest in firearms, and earlier studies on anxiety sensitivity as a treatment target for anger and paranoia as a predictor of aggressive behavior in social anxiety.
