About
Dr. Danielle Gordon is a child neurologist at the Center for Development and Learning and Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic at Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Education
Dr. Gordon completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and East Asian Studies at Boston University in 2008. She was a pediatric stroke research assistant at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia following her undergraduate studies which catapulted her interest in pediatric neurology. She graduated cum laude from American University of Antigua College of Medicine in 2016. She completed her residency in general pediatrics from Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown, New Jersey in 2017, followed by child neurology training at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in 2023. After training, she was faculty at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, where she was a general neurologist and served as interim director of the Neurofibromatosis Clinic. Dr. Gordon is board-certified in neurology with special qualifications in child neurology.
Her clinical interests include a wide range of neurodevelopmental and neurogenetic conditions and associated medical evaluation and management. She’s passionate about building and providing resources to aid the transition of care for patients and families of individuals with developmental disabilities.
Research Summary
Dr. Gordon’s research interests include exploring the neurocognitive profile and phenotypic differences of TSC-Associated Neuropsychiatric Disorders in tuberous sclerosis variants, as well as,quality improvement measures to improve the transition of care of medically complex patients.
