About
Dr. Chioma Okeke is a postdoctoral fellow in Pediatric Neuropsychology at Kennedy Krieger Institute and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Education
Dr. Okeke received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland- College Park. She received her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School and then went on to complete her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Neuropsychology, from The Chicago School. Dr. Okeke completed an APA accredited internship in lifespan rehabilitation neuropsychology at NYU Langone Health- Rusk Rehabilitation Institute.
Research
Dr. Okeke’s prior research has focused on the influence of neurocognitive risk factors and social determinants of health on outcomes in pediatric brain tumor patients. Portions of her research have also examined the impact of psychosocial factors on neurocognitive outcomes following traumatic brain injury (TBI), as well as the role of implicit bias among behavioral health providers in shaping diagnostic outcomes for youth of color.
