Dr. Caroline Guzi is a staff psychologist in the Child and Family Therapy Clinic at Kennedy Krieger Institute. Dr. Guzi obtained licensure as a psychologist in the state of Maryland in 2023 and is a member of PSYPACT, which allows her to see patients via telehealth in participating states other than Maryland. 

Dr. Guzi joined the Child and Family Therapy Clinic as a staff psychologist in 2023. In addition to conducting therapy, she is the co-director of the undergraduate internship program within the clinic. 

Education

Dr. Guzi received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia. She earned her master’s and Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degrees from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where she specialized in child and adolescent mental health. She completed her doctoral internship at the Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pennsylvania, followed by fellowship at the Child and Family Therapy Clinic within Kennedy Krieger Institute and The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. 

Dr. Guzi enjoys working with children, adolescents and their families to help them identify their strengths as well as areas for change and growth. She specializes in family therapy and has extensive training in Functional Family Therapy. Additionally, Dr. Guzi enjoys the creativity and problem-solving that comes with adapting evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, to suit each patient and family’s needs. In addition to family therapy, she enjoys working with patients experiencing anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, in addition to mood disorders and externalizing behavior concerns. Dr. Guzi is available to see patients in person and via telehealth.
