Recent Congresses have been organized around themes that span the full continuum from laboratory research to patient care. NCL 2027 will continue this tradition, with sessions anticipated in the following areas:
- Genetics and cell biology of the NCLs
- Disease models and pathogenic mechanisms
- Biomarker discovery and “omics” approaches
- Preclinical therapeutic development, including gene therapy, enzyme replacement, and small-molecule strategies
- Clinical research, natural history, and clinical trial outcomes
- Patient care, quality of life, and supportive management
The program combines keynote and plenary lectures from established and emerging leaders, oral presentations chosen from submitted abstracts, and poster sessions. A late-breaking abstract session is intended to give investigators a timely forum for new data, so that the Congress reflects the very latest advances in the field.
