Ms. Mackenzie Newsom is a program coordinator at Kennedy Krieger Institute, where she helps oversee the Fellowship partnerships, manage mentorships and the fellowship experience. Before joining Kennedy Krieger, Ms. Newsom worked as a clinical research coordinator II at the Emory Winship Cancer Institute in Atlanta, Georgia contributing significantly to the Breast and Gynecologic Oncology Team. Ms. Newsom completed her Master of Public Health in Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Florida, where she graduated Cum Laude and was inducted into the Delta Omega Public Health Honor Society. She also earned her Bachelor of Public Health with a minor in Health Disparities in Society from the same institution. Driven by a passion for public health innovation, Ms. Newsom aims to contribute to the success of future leaders by empowering today’s students. She is dedicated to eliminating global health disparities and envisions pursuing a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) to further her impact in the field.
