About
Dr. Tara Bord is a licensed clinical psychologist at the Center for Neuropsychological and Psychological Assessment (CNaP) at Kennedy Krieger Institute. Dr. Bord provides comprehensive evaluations for older children, adolescents, and young adults through the Emotion and Behavior Clinic and the Pathways to Young Adulthood Clinic. Dr. Bord is committed to helping families better understand their children’s strengths and challenges while providing recommendations that support meaningful growth and development.
Education
Dr. Bord earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University. She continued her graduate education at Eastern Kentucky University, receiving a Master of Science and a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology.
Dr. Bord completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship in Child and Adolescent Psychology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Child Clinical Psychology at Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Research
Dr. Bord’s research interests have centered on improving accessibility to recommendations following evaluation. This work has included examining barriers that affect families’ ability to access and implement recommended services and interventions. Dr. Bord has also contributed to research on suicide risk identification and assessment in youth.
