About
Dr. Nazli Kuter is a neonatologist in the Department of Neurology and Developmental Medicine. She sees high risk infants in the Infant Neurodevelopment Center and the Pediatric Rehabilitation Unit at Kennedy Krieger Institute. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
Education
Dr. Kuter obtained her medical degree from Marmara University School of Medicine in Turkey. She completed her first pediatric residency training also at Marmara University, followed by her second pediatric residency training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. She then pursued a neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, before joining Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Research Summary
Dr. Kuter’s research interests focus on neonatal brain injury. She is currently studying cholinergic neuron injury after neonatal hypoxic ischemia and potential delayed treatments for neuron recovery.
