Dr. Katherine Moore is a staff psychologist in the Child and Family Therapy Clinic at Kennedy Krieger Institute.

Education

Dr. Moore received her bachelor’s degree of science in psychology from the University of Florida and continued her education at Louisiana State University, where she received her PhD in school psychology. She completed her doctoral internship in health service psychology at Virginia Beach City Public Schools and her post-doctoral fellowship at Kennedy Krieger Institute and The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. 

Dr. Moore has been a licensed psychologist in Maryland since 2023. Dr. Moore is PSYPACT certified and qualified to provide telehealth services to patients in participating states.

Dr. Moore has experience working with a wide range of presenting internalizing and externalizing concerns, including anxiety disorders, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, emotion dysregulation and family conflict. Dr. Moore integrates multiple treatment modalities to best support each patient and family, drawing from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Her approach is strengths-based, collaborative and developmentally informed, with an emphasis on creating a supportive safe space where children, adolescents and their families can build insight, resilience and skills for lasting change.
