Treatment programs at Kennedy Krieger focused on autism spectrum disorder include the Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation (CASSITM). CASSI offers evaluation, treatment, and support for individuals with autism spectrum disorders. 

Special Education for Children With Autism 

Kennedy Krieger Institute offers award-winning and nationally recognized special education schools in Baltimore and Washington, D.C. through its five school programs. This network of accredited special education schools serves students ages 5–21 who have complex learning and developmental challenges. We also partner with public schools to provide the best education possible for children with special needs.

Kennedy Krieger provides compassionate, cutting-edge educational programs for families and communities that would not be able to access them otherwise. We understand that patients, students and their families face enormous challenges each day. Kennedy Krieger is involved in expanding the resources available for professionals who are involved in treatment of autism spectrum disorder. Kennedy Krieger trains over 700 healthcare experts each year, amplifying the impact of these initiatives as these professionals continue with their careers at different institutions across the globe.

Along with groundbreaking research into brain, spinal cord and nervous system disorders, Kennedy Krieger Institute funds research into the diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorder.

Autism Awareness, Advocacy and Community Initiatives
