About This Program
The Military Child Autism Care Teleconference (ACT) ECHO is an ongoing learning community for providers caring for military-connected children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Designed primarily for medical providers, this series focuses on practical strategies, best practices, and evidence-based approaches to the assessment and management of autism and related developmental concerns. Participants engage with an interdisciplinary hub team and peers to discuss real-world clinical challenges and share experiences across healthcare, behavioral health, and military settings.
Each session includes a brief didactic presentation and a participant-presented case discussion in an interactive, "all teach, all learn" environment. Participants are encouraged to submit de-identified patient cases for group discussion and learning.
Topics include:
- Autism spectrum diagnosis and assessment
- Evidence-based interventions
- Management of complex and co-occurring conditions
- Treatment planning
- Military and community resources for children and families
Hub Team
The ACT ECHO hub team includes professionals from a variety of disciplines, including developmental and behavioral pediatrics, psychology, psychiatry, and military medicine, with expertise in autism spectrum disorder and related developmental and behavioral health concerns.
Mitigation of Relevant Financial Relationships
Johns Hopkins University adheres to the ACCME’s Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education. Any individuals in a position to control the content of a CE activity, including faculty, planners, reviewers, or others are required to disclose all relevant financial relationships with ineligible entities (commercial interests). All relevant conflicts of interest have been mitigated prior to the commencement of the activity.
Target Audience
Designed primarily for medical providers—including pediatricians, family medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants—who provide care for military-connected children with autism. Behavioral health providers, nurse case managers, and other professionals supporting military-connected children and families are also welcome to participate.

- Schedule: Last Tuesday of each month, 2:00-3:00 PM ET
Registration
Registration includes a brief registration form and platform enrollment. Participants will receive an email invitation to create an iECHO account and join the program. Sessions are conducted via Microsoft Teams and accessed through the iECHO platform.
A short training video is available on how to register in iECHO, and additional support can be found through the iECHO Help Center.
Post-Test
Those interested in earning ABP MOC Part 2 credits through their participation must complete the post-test questions with a passing score of 75% within 3 attempts.
