About

Valerie F. Berkeley serves as the Program Manager for the Center for Diversity in Public Health Leadership Training (The Center for Diversity) and The Office of Health, Equity, Inclusion & Diversity (O-HEID) at Kennedy Krieger Institute. Mrs. Berkeley is responsible for the EMURG Health Equity Leaders 12-month fellowship. Her years of experience in program management and workforce development provide the scholars with what they need to complete the program and be equipped to pursue leadership positions throughout all facets of Public Health. In her spare time, she enjoys being a party planner for her friends and family and traveling the world. 

Education

Valerie F. Berkeley is bilingual in Spanish and a native of Puerto Rico. She earned her BA in Modern Languages and Linguistics from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County (UMBC) and an MS in Management with a concentration in Marketing and a second master’s in business administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland-Global Campus (UMGC).
