About
Kim Pelham serves as program coordinator for The Center for Diversity in Public Health Leadership Training (The Center for Diversity) and The Office of Health, Equity, Inclusion & Diversity (O-HEID) at Kennedy Krieger Institute. Ms. Pelham is primarily responsible for assisting in the implementation and management of the Maternal Child Health-Leadership Education, Advocacy, and Research Network (MCH-LEARN) and Maternal Child Health Careers/Research Initiatives for Student Enhancement Undergraduate Program (MCHC/RISE-UP). She is a passionate former special needs educator who comes to us with five years of experience and is eager to utilize the expert “hats” that teachers wear daily within the Center for Diversity. In her free time, Ms. Pelham enjoys producing music and spending time with her cat Banana Pepper.
Education
Ms. Pelham received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology from the illustrious Morgan State University. During her matriculation at Morgan State University, Ms. Pelham served as a research and teaching assistant for the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. She also gave oral presentations in the 21st and 23rd Annual Morgan State University Undergraduate and Graduate Science Research Symposiums.
