Openings Now Available for Typically Developing Children:

The child development experts at Kennedy Krieger are excited to offer unique child care services for typically developing children ages three to five years and their families. Our full-day program provides a play-based curriculum with an emphasis on communication, social development, and early academic and literacy skills. Our Achievements Daycare and Preschool Program provides a safe learning environment with a low staff-to-student ratio that allows us to meet the learning needs of each child. In addition, your child will have a unique opportunity to spend part of his day serving as a peer model for children with autism, during assigned preschool groups led by a certified speech-language pathologist. By acting as a peer model, your child can develop empathy and compassion for people with developmental disorders and to help them as they try to realize their potential.

Our program is conveniently located on Greenspring Avenue in Baltimore City, just off I-83 (Coldspring Avenue, Exit 9B), with a secure building entrance and an enclosed play area.

For less than $40 each day, your child also receives two snacks, along with a weekly cooking lesson, and a strong academic and social curriculum. Our daily schedule includes:

  • Circle time and calendar
  • Art activities
  • Free play
  • Rest time
  • Literacy activities (full schedule available upon request)

Because of our low staff-to-student ratio, we have just a few spaces open in our fall session. The program begins September 6th, and the hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
