About
Dr. Gamze Ozsoy works as a pediatric hospitalist at the Pediatric Rehabilitation Unit at Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Education
Dr. Ozsoy received a Doctorate of Medicine degree from Istanbul University. She completed a pediatric residency at Kocaeli University, and worked as a general pediatrician for 10 years in Turkey. She also had pediatric intensive care unit experience while working as a fellow in Ankara University. She then completed her pediatric residency in the USA at the Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in 2023. Following her residency, she started her current position at Kennedy Krieger. Her current clinical interests include feeding rehabilitation, hypoxic brain injury, traumatic brain injury, pediatric pain rehabilitation and post-orthopedic surgery rehabilitation.
Dr. Ozsoy’s volunteer experience includes mentorship for the international medical school graduates in the USA, volunteer work at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and at the University of Maryland.
Research
During her residency, Dr. Ozsoy researched the effect of heavy metals on premature and low birth weight infants.
