About
Dr. Bushra Rizwan is a child and adolescent psychiatrist in the Center for Developmental Behavioral Health at Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Education
Dr. Rizwan completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto, and graduated from medical school at Medical University of the Americas. She completed her adult psychiatric training at University of Toledo, where she also served as the academic chief resident from 2019-2020. She completed her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University. Her clinical interests include treating behavioral addiction and co-occurring psychiatric disorders.
Research
Her research interests focus on behavioral addiction related to social media, gaming and internet use as well as co-occurring psychiatric disorders. She has previously worked on projects related to substance use disorders in youth and young adults.
