Dr. Ide is a pediatric physiatrist at Kennedy Krieger Institute. He serves in the Concussion Clinic, Phelps Center for Cerebral Palsy and Neurodevelopmental Medicine Clinic, Moser Center for Leukodystrophies, and the Rehabilitation Clinic.

Education

Dr. Ide received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Virginia Tech and attended medical school at the University of Maryland. Upon graduation, he entered active duty in the U.S. Navy and completed an internship at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. He served an additional 6 years as a Medical Officer and Naval Flight Surgeon. He completed residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Virginia followed by fellowship training in pediatric rehabilitation medicine at Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins Hospital. 

Research Summary

His professional research interests include muscle hypertonicity management, gait by observation analysis, pediatric spinal cord injuries, and the role of orthotic devices in pediatric neuromuscular conditions.
