Imagine groundbreaking discoveries seamlessly interwoven with patient care to transform lives daily. For nearly 90 years, Kennedy Krieger has led efforts to prevent and treat disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and musculoskeletal system. Now, we’re expanding our research capabilities with new endowed chairs to dissolve barriers between discovery and treatment.

Through decades of breakthrough research initiatives, we’ve pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in neuroscience and developmental medicine. We have transformed understanding of the developing brain and nervous system, delivering innovations directly from laboratory to bedside.

Building on this history of excellence, our expansion of endowed chairs for exceptional research leaders will strengthen our ability to recruit and retain the most talented minds in their fields—signaling our continued leadership in pediatric rehabilitation and neurodevelopmental care.

Our researchers are also practitioners, positioning us to create an environment where research and care advance together.

As breakthroughs move rapidly from lab to treatment, daily patient experiences and insights from care teams will inform new research directions. This dynamism will ensure we accelerate progress on both fronts, turning today’s bold ideas into tomorrow’s life-changing realities for children with neurological injuries and conditions that impact how they think, move, speak, learn, and interface with the world.
