CLUB: Connecting Language Using Books

The purpose of this presentation is to introduce CLUB (Connecting Language Using Books), a new speech-language therapy group to parents and providers. This new series of groups focuses on children who are rising 1st through 12th graders (ages 5 - 18). The presenters will describe the structure, techniques, and strategies used during the groups.

Presenters:

Sharon Conty, MS, CCC-SLP is a Speech-Language Pathologist at Kennedy Krieger Institute's Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD). Sharon has 11 years of experience working with individuals with autism, and specializes in working with minimally- and non-verbal children and reading comprehension. 

Alyson Fagan, MS, CCC-SLP is a Speech-Language Pathologist at CARD. She began at CARD in January 2017 as a Graduate Student Clinician. Alyson specializes in minimally- and non-verbal toddlers, augmentative and alternative communication, reading comprehension, and social skills.
