Bullying, Harassment, and Intimidation of Students with Disabilities in Maryland Public Schools

This presentation will provide an overview of federal and state law and regulations, guidance from the federal government, and policies about bullying, harassment, and intimidations. The presenters will discuss how to address the issue in home, school, and the community, as well as provide tips for service providers and families.

Presenters:

  • Mary Coster, LCSW-C, C-ASWCM

    Mary is the training manager for the Social Work Department at Kennedy Krieger Institute. Mary also provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families in the Psychiatric Mental Health Program.
  • Mallory Finn, Esq. and Alyssa Navarette, Esq

    Mallory and Alyssa are staff attorneys at Project HEAL (Health, Education, Advocacy, and Law), a community-based program of the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities at Kennedy Krieger Institute.
