This presentation will highlight some of the neglected aspects of raising a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), specifically the emotional and relational functioning of parents.
Participants will gain a better understanding of what research tells us how ASD impacts parents, as well as how family systems theories and interventions can improve overall parent and family functioning. Professionals and parents of children with ASD are all welcome to attend.

Jason Neely, Ph.D., LCMFT
Dr. Neely is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist at CARD. He completed his doctoral degree at the University of Florida where he studied the impact of couples therapy on the marriage quality of parents that have a child with autism. His current research interest involves utilizing family systems theories to improve interventions for parents and families that are impacted by autism.
