This STAR presentation will explain the differences between articulation disorders and the motor speech disorders apraxia and dysarthria. Families and providers will be given information about possible treatment options for each and how to find a provider.
Presenter: Sharon Conty has been a speech-language pathologist for 11 years, working mostly with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She is a graduate from Towson University for undergraduate and graduate studies. Sharon is currently a speech-language pathologist at CARD and specializes in non-verbal and minimally verbal children with devices and speech disorders, as well as children with reading comprehension difficulties.
