This presentation will provide information about the genetic counseling services provided at CARD.

Genetic counseling is the process of helping individuals understand and adapt to the medical, psychological, and familial implications of genetic contributions to disease. This presentation will also provide background information about genetics and genetic testing, within the context of autism spectrum disorder.

Presenter:

  • Alyssa Blesson, MGC, CGC

    Alyssa is a board certified genetic counselor. She currently sees patients at CARD as well as in the Neurogenetics clinics downtown. She received her Master's in Genetic Counseling at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
