Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities (MCDD)

The Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities is one of a national network of University Centers for Excellence (UCEDD) federally funded by the Administration on Developmental Disabilities. We are committed to helping people with developmental disabilities maximize their potential and enjoy success in community life.

The mission of the Maryland Center For Developmental Disabilities at Kennedy Krieger is to maximize potential and create change to increase the capacity of the community to incorporate state-of-the-art advances so that persons of any age with, or at risk for, developmental disabilities can achieve independence, productivity and inclusion within their communities. This is accomplished through interdisciplinary pre-service training, exemplary community service, technical assistance, research and dissemination activities.

The Maryland Center For Developmental Disabilities envisions that all persons with developmental disabilities lead fully inclusive and meaningful lives. We offer a wide variety of services and programs to people of all ages with disabilities and their families according to our four core functions:
