About The Event:
This presentation will provide key information for parents, of children age 14 and older, to assist in understanding and navigating the transition process. It will include specific strategies to use, as well as pitfalls to be aware of and other helpful advice.
Presenter: Linda Carter-Ferrier
Linda Carter-Ferrier is the parent of two sons, ages 20 and 17, who both have autism spectrum disorders as well as co-occurring mental health issues. She has worked as a parent advocate for students with disabilities for many years, and served as Co-President and President of the Anne Arundel County Chapter of the Autism Society of America for 10 years. She has also served as a member of several statewide committees and organizations devoted to the needs of students with disabilities.
This is a FREE training for parents, family members, and professionals. Registration is required.
**This training focuses on children ages 14 and older.**
