Life Skills Program at CARD

The purpose of this presentation is to provide information to families and professionals about the Life Skills Program at CARD, a 12-week treatment that focuses on increasing youth's independence within functional everyday activities as well as underlying motor sensory components that might impact self-care performance.

Presenters: Sarah Welch, MS, OTR/L and Zaneta Liu, MS, CCC-SLP

Sarah is an occupational therapist at CARD. She began practicing occupational therapy at a specialized sensory integration clinic in the Boston area before working at Kennedy Krieger Institute in 2013. Sarah is certified in administration of the AMPS. Her specific areas of interest include sensory processing, and improving activities of daily living skills in children.

Zaneta is a speech-language pathologist at CARD. Currently, she leads group treatment programs at CARD including preschool language, life skills, and social skills groups. Her specific areas of interest include working with transition-aged youth on activities of daily living.
